Les Furtifs Scenography

Directed by Frédéric Deslias, Les Furtifs is the theatrical adaptation of the SF novel Les Furtifs written by Alain Damasio in 2019. The premiere of the show was presented at the Némo Digital Arts Biennial in Paris, at the start of 2020.

At the request of the theatre director, I designed a modular and adaptive scenography allowing to follow the narrative framework of the play from start to finish. The modular system was inspired by the Cornucopia puzzle developed by Stewart Coffin and the Chinese Tangram game called in Mandarin 七巧板 "qī qiǎo bǎn" (The 7 boards of skill).

The scenography is made up of 17 modules at seat height which can be combined in countless ways according to dramaturgical and scenic needs. The modules were produced with a dense material but light enough to be transported by actors and stage technicians during performances.
